Geo fence is a virtual fence that triggers an event when entered/exited. Such event can be to send SMS notification. When we receive your order, we will create a circle geo fence around the address given in the order form. The center point will be the latitude and longitude coordinates to the address. The center point can therefore be several meters away from where you expect it to be. If you want you can send us the exact coordinates by looking your address up on google map, OpenStreetMap, etc. In that case, use the coordinates instead of address in the order form.

We care a lot about keeping our system user friendy. That’s why geo fence is not available in the user interface. Geo fence comes with some challenges that can create confusion or an unsatisfactory experience for some users.

Challenges when using geo fence can for example be:

• Creating too small/narrow geo fence. In such case «GPS jumps» and accuracy can cause confusion.
• GPS upload frequency. If the GPS upload frequency is long, you can enter and exit before it has had time to report.
• Connecting geo fence to correct tracker if you’re having multiple trackers on same account.
